My Diana was filled with elephants in the zoo. I was 12 my first roll of film. I still love that look. Soft blurry. Another world.
Early works explored still life approaches to picturing ideas, fantasies and landscapes. At the time I was really too lazy to deal with sculpture ( I had majored in sculpture and media ) as a practice but was motivated by form structure and language. So I created assemblages to explore ideas. Now I think of still life as a kid of poetic –a short form, chamber music, fleeting.
I'll focus on the work for now and come back to this journal when I can. There is so much to consider in these images. I might need help.
